We light the way for people who roam
Nomad Lighthouse started the way most good things do — two nomads in a new town, wondering why it took a month to meet anyone.
We'd both been "expats" once, and we'd been "digital nomads" more recently. The labels never quite fit — and the communities that used them mostly assumed you were staying put. We weren't. Neither are most of the people we met.
So we built Nomad Lighthouse for the people in between — remote workers, slow travelers, perpetual expats, and the ones who keep a one-way ticket open. A lighthouse you can see from any harbor, with a local crew already on the shore when you arrive.
We started small on purpose: four chapters we know and love — Bansko, Kavala, Arraial d'Ajuda, and Gozo — each run by nomads who actually live there. As the crew grows, so do the harbors.
Our values
Local, not just global
A community is only as good as the people on the ground. Every chapter is led by nomads who live there.
Inclusive by default
Not just expats. Nomads, slow travelers, locals, and the perpetually curious — everyone's crew.
Free to belong
No paywalls on community. Joining is free, events are accessible, and the welcome is genuine.
Four harbors now, a coastline next
We're opening chapters carefully — one real community at a time. Here's where the lighthouses shine today.
- Bansko, Bulgaria — the mountain hub
- Kavala, Greece — the Aegean harbor
- Arraial d'Ajuda, Brazil — the Bahian beach
- Gozo, Malta — the limestone isle
